About Laura Tingle
My name is Laura Tingle (aka Snake Slayer aka Lo aka Master of Disaster aka Queen Chaos). I was born and raised in Nebraska, and attended Colorado State University where I swam, ran track and majored in journalism. In 2005 I had heart surgery that put an end to my college athletics, so I started riding a bike. In 2006, I went to Vegas for my 21st birthday, and did the first triathlon of my adult ("adult" is a relative term) life while there. I did my first race as a professional triathlete in the fall of 2006, and was then sponsored by Timex, who I have been with ever since. By now, they are basically family, even though they don't let me drive the team truck. I have asked a million times. In 2007 I won Memphis in May, was 3rd at Cancun 70.3, 12th at the World Championships in Clearwater, and was hit by a car two weeks later while riding my bike. That was not awesome. I was injured for the majority of 2008. In 2009 I was 3rd at the 70.3 in Hawaii, raced Ironman Lake Placid, had a 40 minute last mile, swore I was going to kick the bucket, lived to tell about it, and found out I have diabetes. Which leads me here, to 2010. I have been working with Justin Daerr at Endurance Corner and have never been happier or healthier.
